Weekend Movie Releases 12/19 – 12/22

Read LATFUSA Review HERE. Seth Rogen and Barbra Streisand star in Anne Fletcher’s newest comedy about Andy Brewster (Rogen), a down-on-his luck man child who decides to bring his mother (Streisand) along with him on his 3,000 mile cross country road trip adventure. Mishaps, antics, and shenanigans abound in this road comedy.  Released on 12/19.

This is 40

Writer/Director Judd Apatow reprises the characters Pete (Paul Rudd) and Debbie (Leslie Mann) five years after the release of ‘Knocked Up’ in order to tell the funny story of how two particular people deal with their impending middle age meltdowns. ‘This is 40’ is an unapologetic look at the psyche of today’s middle age demographic, and how they deal with friends, relationships, family, and life. Apatow brings together a stellar ensemble cast including: John Lithgow, Megan Fox, Chris O’Dowd, and Jason Segel.

Jack Reacher

Legendary director Christopher McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects) brings Tom Cruise back to the silver screen spotlight as Jack Reacher, a renegade US Army investigator who plays a murderous cat and mouse game against a lone wolf sniper. Accompanying Cruise on the screen are Robert Duvall, Richard Jenkins, and Werner Herzog.

Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away

In this IMAX 3D experience from Director Andrew Adamson (Shrek, The Chronicles of Narnia) and Executive Producer James Cameron (Titanic, Avatar), the spectacle of the live shows are brought to the big screen.
