Make The Best Candied Yams This Thanksgiving always has great recipes for all types of meals, especially during the Holidays. With Thanksgiving just around the corner, they have the best Candied Yams recipe. Get your notepad and take this down for you and your family’s tastebuds:

6 lbs. yams (not sweet potatoes, rinsed and patted dry
1 1/2 C. brown sugar
1 1/2 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
2 Tbs. light corn syrup
dash of salt

Preheat oven 350 degrees. Place yams on baking sheet pierce with fork, bake about 45 minutes or until just fork tender. Do not over cook as they will be baked again. Peel and slice 1/4-inch thick. Arrange in baking dish. In a medium saucepan, add remaining ingredients and cook over medium heat until sugar has dissolved and mixture is a syrupy consistency pour over yams and bake uncovered about 30 minutes.
