The Shuttle Endeavour Making Its Way Home

shuttle

In space, the famous Endeavour circled the globe at 17,500 mph, faster than a speeding bullet. On the roads of Los Angeles, it’s moving at 2 mph and its quite a sight. The shuttle kicked off its 12-mile road trip shortly after 2AM on October 12th, 2012. It is traveling from Los Angeles International Airport to its ultimate destination, the California Science Center. The five-story-tall, 170,000-pound spacecraft is currently stopping for a nine-hour layover break at a shopping center parking lot before resuming its final journey.

For those who may have missed the shuttle flying in and won’t catch its road trip, you can see it up close on October 30th, when the Science Center will put it on display for all to see. This is an historic moment, not to miss.
