Netflix has officially begun production in Los Angeles on its upcoming comedy series A Hundred Percent, a half-hour comedy that takes a satirical look at the booming world of wellness, self-improvement, and self-optimization.
The streamer also announced several new cast additions, with Tiffany Boone, Lisa Gilroy, and Diane Lane joining the previously revealed ensemble of Nick Kroll, Sam Richardson, Jason Mantzoukas, and Vanessa Bayer.
A Hundred Percent follows a group of friends who have become stars in the wellness industry. Through bestselling books, hit podcasts, and carefully curated morning routines, they offer advice on how to live a more perfect life. However, behind the microphones and social media posts, their own lives are anything but perfect.
The newly announced cast members include:
Tiffany Boone (Mufasa: The Lion King, The Big Cigar, Nine Perfect Strangers) stars as Abby, a fun-loving and outgoing new mother. As the wife of a motivational speaker, Abby serves as his emotional anchor and eventually becomes his brand manager.
Lisa Gilroy (The Studio, Jury Duty) plays Jess, a movement therapist turned female empowerment influencer whose star is rapidly rising after leaving the show’s central character and publishing an inspirational memoir titled Big Girl Panties.
Diane Lane (Feud: Capote vs. the Swans, The Exorcist) joins the cast as Suzanne, a legendary self-help guru, bestselling author, and media mogul who has become an icon in the world of personal development.
The series comes from acclaimed writer and producer Gabe Liedman (PEN15, Brooklyn Nine-Nine), who serves as showrunner, executive producer, and writer. Nick Kroll (Big Mouth, The League) also serves as executive producer and writer, alongside executive producers Max Joseph (Catfish, We Are Your Friends, 15 Minutes of Shame) and Alex Plapinger (The Legend of Ochi, Wild Life).
A Hundred Percent further solidifies Netflix’s ongoing commitment to production in Los Angeles. The series joins a growing slate of projects currently filming in the city, including Monster Season 4, The Lincoln Lawyer Season 5, Forever Season 2, The Hawk, Nobody Wants This Season 3, Leanne Season 2, Running Point Season 2, BEEF Season 2, A Man on the Inside Season 2, as well as the feature films The RIP, Animals, and One Attempt Remaining.
A premiere date for A Hundred Percent has not yet been announced.
