Fashion’s fiercest competition is back—and bigger than ever. Project Runway returns for its 22nd season on July 9, bringing the largest cast of designers in the show’s history, an impressive lineup of celebrity judges, and the return of some of the franchise’s most beloved faces.
Hosted by supermodel and executive producer Heidi Klum, Season 22 premieres July 9 at 9:30 p.m. EDT/PDT on Freeform, with episodes streaming shortly afterward on Hulu and Disney+. New episodes will air weekly.
For the first time, 22 designers from diverse backgrounds will compete for the opportunity to elevate their careers and claim the coveted title. Returning to the judging panel alongside Klum are renowned fashion critic Nina Garcia and image architect Law Roach, while fan-favorite designer Christian Siriano returns as mentor.
Adding even more star power this season is supermodel, entrepreneur and television icon Tyra Banks, who joins the series as a recurring judge.
The season’s guest judge lineup includes singer and performer Ciara, creative director Fausto Puglisi, rapper Ice Spice, supermodel Iman, actress Kiernan Shipka, actress and comedian Niecy Nash, actress Nina Dobrev, designer Sergio Hudson, designer Willy Chavarria and model Winnie Harlow.
Viewers can also expect special appearances from influencer Becca Bloom, comedian Hannah Berner, costume designer Molly Rogers of The Devil Wears Prada 2, creator Nara Smith, fashion personality Nicky Campbell and reality star Paige DeSorbo.
As previously announced, the worlds of fashion and dance will collide when members of Dancing with the Stars take to the runway. Featured appearances include Brandon Armstrong, Alan Bersten, Val Chmerkovskiy, Jenna Johnson, Emma Slater, Ezra Sosa, Britt Stewart and host Julianne Hough.
The season will also feature talent from Hulu’s reality universe, including Charity Lawson, Sarah Jane Nader, Ekin-Su and Project Runway Season 21 winner Veejay Floresca, all appearing as models during a special episode.
Produced by Spyglass Media Group and Alfred Street Industries, Project Runway continues its legacy as one of television’s most influential fashion competition series.
