LeBron James Selected As Reserve for 2026 NBA All-Star Game

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James has been selected as a reserve for the 2026 NBA All-Star Game, set for Sunday, Feb. 15, in Los Angeles. The honor extends James’ NBA record of 22 consecutive All-Star selections, spanning three decades (2005-26).

James becomes just the second player in NBA history to earn multiple All-Star selections after age 40, joining Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Through 30 games (all starts) this season, James is averaging 21.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 1.1 steals in 33.1 minutes. Since turning 41 on Dec. 30, the NBA’s all-time leading scorer has elevated his production, posting averages of 23.1 points, 9.5 rebounds, 9.5 assists and 1.7 steals over 16 games. He has scored 20 or more points in 19 contests, including four 30-point performances, while recording six double-doubles and leading the Lakers in scoring on five occasions.

In January, James totaled 109 fourth-quarter points, tied for the most in the NBA with Houston’s Kevin Durant. He has helped guide the Lakers to a league-best 14-2 record in clutch games this season.

A three-time NBA All-Star Game MVP, James owns career averages of 21.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 1.1 steals across 20 All-Star appearances. An eight-time team captain, he is the All-Star Game’s all-time leader in points (434), field goals made (182) and minutes played (537).

James and teammate Luka Dončić will represent the Purple and Gold at the 2026 NBA All-Star Game, marking the 54th time in franchise history multiple Lakers have earned All-Star honors in the same season.
