he Daytime Beauty Awards (DBAs) are once again spotlighting science-backed innovation, announcing the recipient of this year’s Inventor’s Award: the TheraFace Mask by Therabody.

Created under the vision of Dr. Jason Wersland, founder of Therabody, the TheraFace Mask marks a new chapter in at-home skincare technology. What began with his invention of the Theragun—a personal solution born from recovery after a motorcycle accident—has grown into a global wellness brand with more than 30 devices and over 25 clinical studies.

Expanding into beauty in 2022 with the launch of TheraFace PRO, Therabody redefined the space once again in 2023 with the TheraFace Mask: a hands-free LED device designed to boost collagen, reduce inflammation, and accelerate repair. Using red, blue, and infrared light, the mask delivers professional-grade light therapy in the comfort of home. Clinically proven to improve skin tone, texture, and firmness, it bridges the gap between medical technology and everyday skincare routines.

The Inventor’s Award honors breakthrough devices, treatments, and technologies that push the boundaries of beauty and wellness. Past recipients have included trailblazers who introduced game-changing products to consumers worldwide.

This year’s Daytime Beauty Awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, September 21st at Grand Venue in Los Angeles, where Dr. Wersland will accept the honor on behalf of Therabody.

The Daytime Beauty Awards were created to highlight the science behind beauty, honoring achievements in medicine, aesthetics, fitness, innovation, and wellness. More than just glamour, the DBAs recognize the researchers, developers, and visionaries shaping how we care for ourselves every day.
