Dr. Tucker’s 8 Tips To Improve Vessel Health and Prevent Heart Disease

Did you know that someone dies from cardiovascular disease every 30 seconds in the U.S.?

According to Dr. Tucker, heart disease occurs when we compromise the endothelial cells’ capacity to produce nitric oxide. This damage isn’t primarily genetic or stress-related — it’s largely due to food and lifestyle choices.

Dr. Jeffrey Tucker gives 8 tips for vessel health!

1. Hydration: Front-load 90 ounces of water within 90 minutes of waking up.

2. Nitric Oxide Boosters: Eat dark green leafy vegetables multiple times daily. When you chew these vegetables, bacteria on your tongue convert nitrates to nitrites, which eventually become nitric oxide in your bloodstream.

3. Optimize Protein: Consume at least 1 gram per pound of lean body mass.

4. Anti-inflammatory Diet: This approach can help manage numerous conditions beyond cardiovascular issues, including diabetes, hypertension, and autoimmune disorders.

5. Quality Sleep: Deep sleep allows blood pressure to drop and the brain to flush out toxins.

6. Choose Oils Wisely: Extra virgin olive oil contains polyphenols that increase nitric oxide production. Consider flaxseed, walnut, hemp seed, and pumpkin seed oils. Avoid highly processed seed oils high in omega-6 fatty acids.

7. Eliminate Sugar and Processed Foods.

8. Practice Nasal Breathing: An overlooked practice that affects hormones, heart rate, body temperature, and blood pressure.
