The Emmy red carpet delivered plenty of beauty inspiration, from sculpted short hair and high-volume ponytails to Old Hollywood waves, glowing skin and soft, warm makeup. Celebrity hairstylists and makeup artists shared the products and techniques they used to create some of the evening’s standout looks.

ZENDAYA: THE MODERN SCULPTED PIXIE
Celebrity hairstylist Coree Moreno created Zendaya’s modern sculpted pixie using ghd tools, taking inspiration from the classic pixie while giving it a more editorial finish.
“For Zendaya, the inspiration is a classic pixie reimagined through a modern, editorial lens. I wanted the silhouette to feel feminine and refined with a little rebellion, sleek around the perimeter with airy, piece-y texture and controlled height through the crown,” Moreno said.
GET THE LOOK
Moreno began by blow-drying the hair with the ghd Speed Hair Dryer ($429) to establish the pixie silhouette.
Once dry, he used the ghd Sculpt Hair Flat Iron ($449) to lift, bend and redirect individual sections. He elevated pieces at the root and alternated the direction of subtle bends throughout the hair to keep the texture from looking too uniform.
At the crown, Moreno continued building height and separation for an airy, fragmented finish. He completed the look by using his fingertips to pinch and separate individual pieces through the crown and fringe.

CHASE INFINITI: OLD HOLLYWOOD WAVES
Celebrity hairstylist Lacy Redway looked to the silhouette of Chase Infiniti’s gown when creating her brushed-out waves with ghd tools.
“For this look, I was inspired by the silhouette of Chase’s dress, from the heart-shaped neckline to the dress flaring out on the bottom, we wanted the waves to resemble her dress. By brushing out her waves, we created a younger, cooler version of Old Hollywood waves,” Redway said.
GET THE LOOK
Redway began by blow-drying the hair with the ghd Speed Hair Dryer ($429) and ghd Professional High Strength Hair Dryer Comb attachment ($39) to completely smooth the hair.
Once smooth, extensions were added to create additional fullness and volume. Redway then created a middle part using the ghd The Sectioner Tail Comb ($22).
Next, she used the ghd Sculpt Hair Flat Iron ($449) to straighten and blend the hair before using the ghd Wave Triple Barrel Hair Waver ($239) to create waves and texture.
For the finishing touch, Redway sprayed the ghd Paddle Brush ($35) with hairspray and brushed through the waves, giving them the softer Old Hollywood finish.

RACHEL SENNOTT: BOMBSHELL VOLUME
For Rachel Sennott, celebrity hairstylist Sami Knight looked to some famous bombshells for inspiration.
“Today’s uber glam look was inspired by Pam Anderson, Claudia Schiffer and Charo,” Knight said.
GET THE LOOK
Knight started with thickening spray throughout the roots and lengths, adding a touch of oil to the ends for protection and smoothness.
He rough-dried Sennott’s hair with the new Olivia Garden JetHP Hair Dryer ($349.95) and Olivia Garden Curly Hair Brush ($28.95), using the brush to create additional volume at the roots.
Next, Knight curled the hair in sections with the Olivia Garden Titanium + Ion 1.5-inch Extra Long Curling Iron ($129.95). Each curl was pinned in place and allowed to cool to help maintain its shape.
Once the curls had set, he gently broke them apart with his hands while preserving their volume and movement. Knight then left out the front sections and pulled the remaining hair into a high ponytail. A small section of hair was wrapped around the base to conceal the elastic and create a polished finish.

JULIANNA MARGULIES: RED CARPET SKIN PREP
Makeup artist Fiona Stiles focused on luminous skin for Julianna Margulies, whose black and red gown helped inspire the beauty direction.
“To complement the beautiful drama of the dress I wanted to focus on glowing and radiant skin with defined eyes and a sensual lip color,” Stiles said.
Before applying makeup, Stiles gave Margulies a facial massage to encourage circulation and prepare the skin for skincare.
FACE
Stiles applied SickScience Labs NetWork Rich Concentrated Serum ($74) to hydrate and prep the complexion. The serum contains plant-derived exosomes and the brand’s NX35 technology, along with sodium hyaluronate and squalane.
According to Stiles, the serum worked as both a hydrating treatment and skin-perfecting primer before makeup.
BODY
Because Margulies’ gown revealed a significant amount of skin, Stiles also prepped the body. She mixed a shimmery lotion with SickScience Labs DropOff Body Sculpting Serum ($52) to give the exposed skin a smoother, firmer-looking and red carpet-ready finish.

KERI RUSSELL: SOFT BROWNS AND WARM ROSE
Celebrity makeup artist Tina Turnbow created Keri Russell’s Emmy makeup using Armani beauty, choosing softer brown tones to complement Russell’s black leather dress.
“Keri’s black leather dress inspired me to create something fresh using soft browns rather than black on the eyes. The lip and cheek in a warm rose added a perfect Armani glow,” Turnbow said.
COMPLEXION
Turnbow began with Luminous Silk Hydrating & Glow Extending Primer, followed by Luminous Silk Foundation in shades 5.25 and 5.5.
She used Luminous Silk Concealer in shade 4.75 to highlight and correct the complexion before adding the new Armani Dolci Makeup Blush in shade 5 for a warm flush of color.
EYES
For Russell’s soft brown eye, Turnbow applied Eye Tint Long-Lasting Liquid Eyeshadow in shades 30M and 36M.
She added Smooth Silk Eye Pencil in shade 4 along the lash line for depth and finished the eyes with Vertigo Lift Mascara.
LIPS
Turnbow completed the look by combining Lip Power Lipstick in shades 114 and 503, creating the warm rose lip that tied the makeup together.
