The sold out event celebrated the upcoming return of the Owens sisters with an immersive campaign that brought together movie lovers dressed in black lace, witch hats, and flowing velvet as anticipation builds for the long awaited sequel.
Practical Magic 2 reunites Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman as sisters Sally and Gillian Owens, more than two decades after the original became a cult classic. The sequel is scheduled to arrive in theaters on September 18, 2026, bringing a new chapter of magic, family, romance, and supernatural intrigue to audiences who have kept the original film alive for generations.
The celebration is only the beginning of an unusually packed Halloween season.
Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights is once again raising the bar with a lineup that spans music, gaming, and original horror. One of this year’s most anticipated experiences is Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness, an all original haunted house paying tribute to the legendary heavy metal icon and inspired by his prolific solo career.
Beginning Friday, August 28 at Universal Orlando Resort and Thursday, September 3 at Universal Studios Hollywood, guests will board the legendary Crazy Train for a terrifying journey through Ozzy Osbourne’s twisted world of rock and roll.
At Universal Studios Hollywood, the haunted house begins where it all started in Birmingham, England, the hometown of John Michael “Ozzy” Osbourne. Inspired by his legendary hit “Crazy Train,” guests travel through the decades of his extraordinary career, encountering terrifying versions of Ozzy himself, including Madman Ozzy, Werewolf Ozzy, and the Prince of Darkness, while venturing into the haunting Osbourne Asylum inspired by his iconic album Diary of a Madman.
Gaming fans will also have something new to experience as Halloween Horror Nights introduces a scare zone inspired by Fortnitemares, the annual Halloween event from the global gaming phenomenon Fortnite. The immersive experience debuts at Universal Orlando Resort on August 28 and at Universal Studios Hollywood on September 3, bringing the horror themed world of the popular game into a real life environment.
Each year, Fortnitemares introduces new characters, supernatural encounters, and seasonal gameplay within the ever evolving Fortnite universe. Now, fans will be able to step inside that eerie atmosphere as Halloween Horror Nights delivers its own terrifying interpretation.
Meanwhile, horror returns to the big screen with Insidious: Out of the Further, arriving exclusively in theaters on August 21. The latest installment in the successful Insidious franchise promises another terrifying descent into the mysterious spirit realm known as The Further, continuing one of modern horror’s most successful supernatural series.
