The 8th Annual Daytime Beauty Awards (DBA) proudly announces Biba de Sousa as the recipient of Outstanding Achievement in Aesthetics.
The Daytime Beauty Awards will take place on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at The Grand Venue in Los Angeles. The award ceremony luncheon celebrates the science behind beauty, health, and wellness by recognizing excellence in medicine, health and fitness, aesthetics, skincare, color and styling, CBD and cannabis, beauty innovation, and more.
Biba de Sousa is a renowned celebrity esthetician, acne specialist, educator, and founder of Biba Los Angeles, whose work has helped redefine the field of modern aesthetics. Originally from what is now Serbia, Biba came to America during a period of profound change in her homeland, bringing with her a passion for beauty, wellness, and the transformative power of skincare. After years building her career between Los Angeles and San Francisco, she earned a reputation for her highly personalized approach, clinical expertise, and commitment to long-term skin health.
For more than two decades, Biba has worked hands-on with thousands of clients, including A-list actors, musicians, supermodels, industry leaders, and individuals seeking solutions for complex skin concerns. Her philosophy is rooted in skin physiology, evidence-based science, and results-driven care rather than trends. In 2017, she founded Biba Los Angeles, a professional-grade skincare line developed from years of treatment room experience and designed to support healthier skin through barrier-conscious formulations.
A pioneer in the aesthetics industry, Biba created the signature Meta Facial®, developed the concept of the Cream Barrier, helped advance peptide-based lip treatments, championed plant stem cell technology before it became mainstream, and created the first Pore Clogger Checker tool to help consumers make more informed skincare choices. Each year, the Daytime Beauty Awards donates a portion of its proceeds to an animal-focused nonprofit organization. This year’s event will benefit the Los Angeles Mounted Police Foundation, supporting one of the last Mounted Platoons in the nation and its equine officers. The Foundation supports outreach initiatives, including programs serving veterans and the Mini Mounties youth program. Dedicated to public safety, community engagement, and the care of their equine partners, the Mounted Platoon exemplifies the extraordinary bond between humans and animals.
Accomplished actress, businesswoman, philanthropist, and devoted animal advocate Denise Richards will serve as the 2026 Daytime Beauty Awards Ambassador.
Over the years, the Daytime Beauty Awards have honored notable figures including Cindy Crawford, Gabrielle Union, Christie Brinkley, Tommy Chong, and Holly Robinson Peete. Presenters have included Jennifer Lopez, Jay Leno, Melissa McCarthy, Tina Knowles, and Sia, all joining the DBAs in celebrating the innovators and visionaries behind beauty and wellness.
