The nominations for the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards were announced on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, by Emmy winners Liza Colón-Zayas and Jeff Hiller during a live presentation from the Television Academy.
This year’s ceremony will take place on Monday, September 14, 2026, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The telecast will air live on NBC and stream on Peacock, with Mariska Hargitay serving as host. The Creative Arts Emmy Awards are scheduled for September 5 and 6.
Leading this year’s nominations is The Pitt with 25 nominations, followed by Hacks, Pluribus, and Widow’s Bay, making them among television’s most recognized series heading into Emmy season.
