Meghan, Duchess of Sussex Joins Director Alysa Nahmias for Cookie Queens Screening at The Grove

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, joined filmmaker Alysa Nahmias and members of the Girl Scouts for a special screening of the documentary Cookie Queens on Tuesday, July 28, at AMC The Grove in Los Angeles.

Following the screening, Nahmias participated in a Q&A alongside Meghan, who serves as an executive producer on the film. The discussion was moderated by journalist Jessica Radloff and explored the inspiration behind the documentary and its themes of leadership, resilience, and the realities of growing up.

Cookie Queens is a heartfelt coming-of-age documentary that celebrates girlhood while examining the joys, pressures, and emotional complexities surrounding one of America’s most recognizable traditions: Girl Scout Cookie season. Through the experiences of its young subjects, the film offers an intimate look at ambition, friendship, competition, and the confidence-building lessons that extend far beyond selling cookies.

Written and directed by Alysa Nahmias, the documentary is produced by Michael Dweck, Gregory Kershaw, Alysa Nahmias, and Jennifer Sims.
