Always free CicLAvia takes over Hollywood streets: all bikes, no cars

On Sunday, July 19, between 9am – 4pm, CicLAvia kicks off its 67th car-free open streets event, catalyzing vibrant public spaces, active transportation and good health. CicLAvia—Meet the Hollywoods connects WeHo, Hollywood and East Hollywood (via Santa Monica Blvd between San Vicente and Highland; Highland between Santa Monica Blvd and Hollywood Blvd; and Hollywood Blvd between Orange and Virgil/Hillhurst in East Hollywood), welcoming people of all ages and abilities to enjoy this day-long 3.6-mile pop-up park.

Always FREE, participants can enjoy the day by walking, jogging, biking, skating, or simply spectating. Participants can show up anywhere along the route to enjoy the open streets, taking the time to explore, and enjoy a great day.

CicLAvia—Meet the Hollywoods includes four (4) hubs filled with plenty of activities and programs. Hubs are walking zones (mandatory dismounts) and meeting points along the route and include the West Hollywood hub located on Santa Monica Blvd, east of San Vicente Blvd; Plummer Park hub on Santa Monica Blvd at Martel Ave; Walk of Fame hub on Hollywood Blvd at Highland Ave; and the East Hollywood hub located on Hollywood Blvd, just west of Virgil and Hillhurst Aves. Hubs offer family-friendly activities, restrooms, free water refilling stations, free basic bike repair, bike parking, places to sit and meet up with friends and family, and first aid. Free pedicab rides are available at each hub’s information booth. In addition to the hubs, there will be a Pit Stop on Hollywood Blvd, near Wilton Pl. with water, restrooms, and free basic bike repair available.

Enjoy World Cup programming and a final match watch party at the Walk of Fame Hub.

CicLAvia’s impact is more than a day without cars. It’s a movement that reaffirms our identity as a city of neighborhoods, each with its own voice and history. Just like parks, libraries, and transit, open streets are essential to the fabric of our region. Every time CicLAvia opens our streets, there is an investment in people and community. CicLAvia prioritizes working with small businesses, local cultural partners, and civic organizations.

“We’re so excited to be back to CicLAvia–Meet the Hollywoods for the 4th time. Our first was in 2019, and then in 2022 and 2024. says CicLAvia Executive Director Romel Pascual. “With the world’s attention on Los Angeles as we prepare to host the 2028 Olympics, there’s no better way to showcase the city’s connectivity, creativity, and vibrant neighborhoods. This route links West Hollywood, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and East Hollywood, putting some of L.A.’s most iconic destinations on display. As the World Cup comes to a close, we’ll also bring fans together with a community watch party, celebrating the tournament and the spirit of Los Angeles on our open streets.”
