Jaws Exhibit, Tours and Screening take over Academy Museum July

Jaws: The Exhibition is the Academy Museum’s first large-scale exhibition dedicated to a single film, and the largest exhibition ever mounted showcasing Universal Pictures’ landmark summer blockbuster, which earned three Academy Awards® and was nominated for Best Picture.

On view now until July 26 in the Marilyn and Jeffrey Katzenberg Gallery, Jaws: The Exhibition translates Steven Spielberg’s 1975 movie into a museum experience for audiences of all ages.

Jaws: The Exhibition is on view until July 26, 2026. The Academy Museum exhibition galleries and store are open six days a week from 10am to 6pm and are closed on Tuesdays.

It revisits the film scene by scene and features interactive components, behind-the-scenes stories, and over 200 original objects, many of which have never been publicly displayed. Each exhibition section includes materials from the personal collections of Steven Spielberg and the Amblin Hearth Archive, the NBCUniversal Archives & Collections, and the vast Academy Collection. Jaws: The Exhibition is organized by Senior Exhibitions Curator Jenny He and Assistant Curator Emily Rauber Rodriguez, with Curatorial Assistant Alexandra James Salichs.
