La Roche-Posay launches Minions & Monsters Effaclar campaign

La Roche-Posay has announced a new partnership tied to Illumination’s latest installment in one of the world’s biggest animated film franchises, Minions & Monsters. Distributed by Universal Pictures, the film is set to arrive in theaters worldwide on July 1, 2026.

The collaboration connects La Roche-Posay’s best selling Effaclar skincare range with the globally recognized characters from the Minions universe in an entertainment focused campaign aimed at making dermatology education more accessible and relatable to audiences worldwide.

Acne continues to be the leading skin concern globally, impacting millions of people across different ages, genders, and skin types. Known for its science driven formulas and dermatologist backed approach, the Effaclar line has built a reputation for clinically proven skincare solutions. Through the partnership with Illumination’s Minions & Monsters, La Roche-Posay is introducing a new approach to acne education through entertainment and animation.

The campaign, titled “READY, CLEAR, ACTION!”, takes inspiration from Minions & Monsters, which follows the Minions as they conquer 1920s Hollywood while bringing their signature chaos and humor to the world. Reflecting the film’s storyline, Effaclar’s hero products are featured in a fully animated brand film developed to align with the movie’s creative universe.

As part of the collaboration, La Roche-Posay and Illumination created a co branded animated spot featuring the Minions. The campaign uses the characters’ playful energy and comedic mischief to communicate that La Roche-Posay’s acne solutions are designed to help consumers feel less stressed about managing acne concerns.

By combining La Roche-Posay’s scientific expertise with the broad cultural reach of the Minions franchise, the campaign is designed to connect with audiences on a global scale through a mix of entertainment and skincare education.

The La Roche-Posay x Minions & Monsters partnership campaign officially launches on June 1. Minions & Monsters will debut in theaters on July 1, 2026. In the United States, the collaboration will also include a limited edition gift with purchase available at Ulta Beauty beginning July 12, along with limited edition La Roche-Posay Effaclar kits available on La Roche-Posay’s website and Amazon while supplies last.
