Netflix’s Kennedy Series Expands Its Star-Studded Cast

Netflix has unveiled an extensive lineup of recurring cast members set to join its highly anticipated drama series Kennedy, adding a wealth of acclaimed talent to an already impressive ensemble.

The series, based on Fredrik Logevall’s Pulitzer Prize-winning book JFK: Coming of Age in the American Century, 1917–1956, is being produced by Chernin Entertainment and will chronicle the triumphs and tragedies of the Kennedy family. Production is currently underway in London, where Netflix has released a behind-the-scenes photo of Michael Fassbender — who plays Kennedy family patriarch Joe Kennedy, Sr. — on set.

Fassbender is joined by previously announced series regulars Laura Donnelly as Rose Kennedy, Nick Robinson as Joe Kennedy Jr., and Joshuah Melnick as Jack Kennedy, along with recurring cast members Ben Miles as Eddie Moore, Lydia Peckham as Rosemary Kennedy, Saura Lightfoot-Leon as Kick Kennedy, Cole Doman as Lem Billings, and Imogen Poots as Gloria Swanson.

The newly announced recurring cast brings a host of celebrated actors to the project. Georgina Bitmead (Sex Education) will play Eunice Kennedy, while younger versions of the Kennedy siblings will be portrayed by Miley Locke (There She Goes) as young Kick Kennedy and Tipper Seifert-Cleveland (Cruella) as young Rosemary Kennedy.

The supporting cast spans a remarkable range of historical figures. Hera Hilmar (See) takes on the role of Inga Arvad, a Danish journalist and former film star who was closely associated with Jack Kennedy in the early 1940s. Wyatt Russell (Thunderbolts*) portrays legendary aviator Charles Lindbergh, the first person to complete a solo nonstop transatlantic flight. Caitlin FitzGerald (Succession) plays Clare Boothe Luce, a prominent writer, socialite, and eventual U.S. Congresswoman who moved in Kennedy circles during the late 1930s.

Several iconic political figures from the era are also represented. Robin Soans (Victoria & Abdul) steps into the role of British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain, while Albert Welling (Succession) portrays Winston Churchill. Toby Huss (Halt & Catch Fire) takes on the role of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Eddie Marsan (Ray Donovan) plays FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover.

Rounding out the cast, Patrick Fischler (Barry) plays influential New York Times Washington Bureau Chief Arthur Krock, Denis O’Hare (American Horror Story) portrays U.S. State Department official Raymond Furness, and Louis Landau (Rivals) plays Billy Cavendish, the Marquess of Hartington.

No premiere date for Kennedy has yet been announced by Netflix.
