- Male Sportsperson of the Year
- Female Sportsperson of the Year
- Coach of the Year
- Top L.A. Sports Moment of the Year
“From the Dodgers’ back-to-back World Series titles to USC and UCLA’s historic March Madness runs, 2025 proved why Los Angeles is the center of the sports universe, ” said Matt Cacciato, President and CEO of the Los Angeles Sports Council and Ready, Set, Gold! “Fans here don’t just watch games—they live them. I’m thrilled to finally hand the mic to the people who make this city so passionate. This year’s field is stacked, and I expect plenty of healthy debate—exactly how it should be.”
New this year, the LA Sports Council is expanding its honors with two new categories to reflect the broader impact of sports in the community with the Ready, Set, Gold! School of the Year and Teacher of the Year. These awards are in recognition of the nonprofit’s award-winning community health and fitness program that brings Olympians and Paralympians directly into K-8 schools to inspire students to prioritize their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being.
Winners will be announced January 28, at the 20th annual LA Sports Awards, where honors will also go toward Lifetime Achievement Award winners and standout achievements across professional, collegiate and high school sports. Additional returning award categories include: Executive of the Year, Community Athlete of the Year, and Ready, Set, Gold! Athlete of the Year.
