Lovet Grows Its Michigan Vet Network

Lovet Pet Health Care℠ is expanding its footprint in Michigan with the opening of three new veterinary hospitals across the Grand Rapids area this fall. The openings bring the company’s presence to four locations since its Michigan debut in April 2025, reinforcing Lovet’s commitment to improving access to high-quality veterinary care for West Michigan pet families.

Since the first Grand Rapids hospital opened in April, Lovet veterinarians have cared for more than 2,200 pets and welcomed 1,900 new pet parents.

Lovet by the Numbers

  • Four hospitals opened across Grand Rapids between April and November 2025

  • Average 4.8-star Google rating

  • More than 2,200 pets cared for since April

  • 50 new local jobs created to support the expanding network

Each Lovet hospital offers full-service veterinary care, from urgent needs to preventative services, in facilities designed to reduce stress for both pets and pet parents. Backed by more than 40 years of clinical experience, Lovet’s veterinarians receive extensive training and ongoing support within a collaborative clinical network. Hospitals feature in-house x-rays and diagnostics powered by AI-enabled technology, providing fast and accurate results. Flexible scheduling, same-day appointments, and weekend hours make care easier to access.

The newly opened hospitals include:

  • Alpine Ave Hospital – 3500 Alpine Ave NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49544

  • Beltline Ave Hospital – 2135 E Beltline Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525

  • Breton Road Hospital – 1935 Breton Rd. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506

These join Lovet’s first Grand Rapids location, which opened in April 2025 at 4290 Lake Michigan Dr. NW.

Lovet’s continued expansion comes at a time when many Michigan pet parents report difficulty accessing affordable veterinary services. The Lovet Checkup Report found that 44% of pet parents have delayed or skipped care due to rising costs. Lovet aims to remove those barriers through several accessible offerings:

  • First Exam Free for all new clients

  • Lovet Essentials², an annual primary care plan that includes unlimited exams, vaccines, diagnostics, and a choice of dental cleaning or spay/neuter

  • Lovet Pay¹, flexible payment options with interest-free offerings and 99% approval rates

  • Acceptance of Care Credit and Afterpay

  • Same-day appointments and weekend hours

  • Seamless scheduling through the MyLovet app and web portal

Lovet is currently hiring veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support staff across all four locations, creating approximately 50 new roles in the community.

Earlier this month, Lovet partnered with the Humane Society of West Michigan as the Pet First Aid Tent Sponsor at the Humane Hustle 5K & Walk, helping pet parents build at-home first aid kits and reinforcing the company’s focus on accessible education and preparedness.

Lovet places a strong emphasis on development, mentorship, continuing education, and a values-driven workplace. The company’s commitment to its teams is reflected in its retention data:

  • 69% of Lovet veterinarians have spent their entire career within the network

  • 78% have spent at least 75% of their careers at a Lovet hospital

Lovet also provides mental health resources, flexible scheduling, and wellness support to address the stresses commonly faced by veterinary professionals. By investing in culture, training, and wellbeing, Lovet aims to set a higher standard for building sustainable and rewarding careers in veterinary medicine.
