Scarlett Johansson and more Honored at Newport Beach Film Festival

This weekend, the 2025 Newport Beach Film Festival (NBFF) continued its 26th annual festival with its 2025 Festival Honors Brunch and Variety’s 10 Actors to Watch at the Balboa Bay Resort in Newport Beach, CA.

This year’s honorees included include Scarlett Johansson (Variety’s Legend & Groundbreaker Award), Kerry Condon (Artist of Distinction Award), Brendan Fraser (Icon Award), Mark Hamill (Icon Award), Diane Lane (Icon Award), Francine Maisler (Casting Visionary Award), Noah Schnapp (Spotlight Award), Jenny Slate (Artist of Distinction Award), Tessa Thompson (Outstanding Achievement in Acting Award), Steven Gaydos (Arts Champion Award), Miky Lee (Arts Champion Award), Erin Kellyman (Breakout Award) and Byung Hun Lee (Artist of Distinction).

Additionally, Variety presented their 10 Actors to Watch with Milly Alcock (“Supergirl”), Ella Anderson (“Song Sung Blue”), Tonatiuh (“Kiss of the Spider Woman”), Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas (“Sentimental Value”), Miles Caton (“Sinners”), Guillaume Marbeck (“Nouvelle Vague”), Mari Yamamoto (“Rental Family”), Chase Infiniti (“One Battle”), Jay Lycurgo (“Steve,” “Peaky Blinder”) and Edmund Donovan (“Late Fame”).

In addition, Jerry Bruckheimer (“F1”) attended the brunch and walked the red carpet.

Following the honors brunch, Noah Schnapp participated in a Q&A moderated by Gold Derby’s Debra Birnbaum at Fashion Island in Newport Beach, CA.
