The City of Beverly Hills and the Rodeo Drive Committee announced the return of one of Southern California’s most beloved holiday traditions – a sparkling and magical program of holiday décor and entertainment including the annual Rodeo Drive Holiday Lighting Celebration that will take place on Thursday, November 13 from 5-8 PM.
Thousands are expected to gather under the glittering palm trees on the iconic, palm tree-dotted luxury fashion street for the grand illumination of Rodeo Drive’s holiday lights and décor.
This year’s theme, Enchanted Holiday Dreams, takes inspiration from Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker Ballet — celebrating imagination, courage, and love through the timeless story of Clara and her magical Christmas Eve adventure. Adorned in shades of gold, blue, red, and white, the center median will feature Nutcracker-inspired and ballerina ornaments set beneath the sparkle of lights cascading from palm to palm. Wrapped tree trunks and glistening white rose bushes will bring a romantic, dreamlike glow to all.
The Rodeo Drive Holiday Lighting Celebration returns with a dazzling evening of live music, dance, and holiday magic — free and open to all.
Headlining Performers
Billboard-charting recording artist and Broadway star Chris Mann will perform “Santa, We’re Ready” from his new holiday EP dropping the next day. Known for The Voice and more than 700 performances as The Phantom of the Opera’s lead, Mann is also set to bring his signature humor to NBC’s New Year’s Eve broadcast for the fourth year in a row.
Australian superstar Hugh Sheridan, fresh off his new Christmas album The Merriest, debuts the original song “Loco Navidad.” A five-time Best Leading Actor winner, Sheridan has performed for royalty, collaborated with The Australian Ballet and Paris Opera Ballet, and tours globally with his band, California Crooners Club.
James Tormé, the acclaimed “Prince of Jazz” and son of legend Mel Tormé, will honor his father’s centennial with “The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire),” soon to join the Grammy Hall of Fame.
Internationally celebrated guzheng artist Bei Bei adds a global touch with her East-meets-West fusion of traditional Chinese music, heard on Disney soundtracks and in performances with Christina Aguilera and the Pacific Symphony.
Special Guest Performances
The lineup features excerpts from The Nutcracker Ballet by West Side School of Ballet – Santa Monica; a presentation from the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts; numbers from The Soul of The Holidays celebrating Motown classics; a set from the Debbie Allen Dance Academy’s Hot Chocolate Nutcracker; and a routine by the USC Trojan Dance Force. DJ Lady Sha, Belle Choir’s handbell ensemble, and a traditional New Orleans Second Line band will keep the energy high all night.
A Magical Street Spectacle
Rodeo Drive transforms into a winter fantasy with Nutcracker-inspired skaters, stilt ballerinas, animated sweets, roaming puppets, and surprise appearances from Mother Ginger’s hidden performers. Guests can enjoy gourmet bites from local food trucks, sip fine wines at gardens hosted by Autovault, GEARYS Beverly Hills, and 208 Rodeo, and capture perfect photo moments beneath glittering lights.
At the evening’s crescendo, Mayor Nazarian, City Council members, and the Rodeo Drive Committee Board lead the countdown to illuminate Enchanted Holiday Dreams along the entire boulevard — followed by Santa Claus’ grand arrival and a fireworks finale.
