The Daytime Beauty Awards (DBAs) announced Holly Robinson Peete as the 2025 recipient of Outstanding Achievement in Health.
She first captured hearts on screen—shattering barriers in 21 Jump Street, delivering laughs on Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper, and charming audiences in over a dozen Hallmark Christmas films. But it was offscreen where she found her greatest calling.
In 1997, Holly and her husband, former NFL quarterback Rodney Peete, founded the HollyRod Foundation in honor of her father, Matthew T. Robinson Jr.—the original Gordon on Sesame Street—after his Parkinson’s diagnosis at just 45.
That mission deepened when their son RJ was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. Holly vowed to create a better world not only for her son, but for countless others.
Today, HollyRod is a lifeline for families nationwide—providing care for Parkinson’s patients and creating safe, supportive spaces through programs like RJ’s Place. The foundation advocates for inclusion, expands access to vital resources, and builds communities where families feel seen and supported.
The 7th annual Daytime Beauty Awards will take place on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at Grand Venue in Los Angeles.
