Santa Monica Place is stepping into fall with a brand-new event series: Weekly Western Wednesday, kicking off September 3 and running through October 29, 2025. The free, open-air experience invites the community to enjoy high-energy line dancing classes every Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Center Plaza.
No boots? No problem. Guests of all skill levels are welcome to join, with professional instructors leading the sessions. September classes will feature the TMR & Co. Dancers, while Urban Boot Scoot takes over instruction in October, promising a mix of lively routines and plenty of fun.
To make it a night out, several Santa Monica Place restaurants are offering pre-dance happy hour specials:
-
LouLou Santa Monica: Golden Hour from 3–6 p.m., with special cocktail pricing and a complimentary bite with your first drink.
-
The Cheesecake Factory: From 4–6 p.m. in the bar area, guests can enjoy discounted drinks and popular appetizers.
-
Curious Palate: A relaxed 5–6 p.m. happy hour featuring craft beer and wine at special prices.
Located just steps from the Pacific Ocean and Santa Monica Pier, Santa Monica Place continues to expand its roster of events and experiences for locals and visitors alike. From retail and dining to cultural and community activations, the open-air destination is becoming a go-to gathering spot on the Westside.
Admission to Weekly Western Wednesday is free, though RSVP is encouraged at Eventbrite.com. For full details, visit santamonicaplace.com/events.
