The 7th annual Daytime Beauty Awards (DBAs), founded by Michele Elyzabeth and celebrating the science behind beauty, health and wellness, will take place on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at The Grand Venue in Los Angeles.
Each year, the DBAs support an animal welfare organization. For 2025, the show proudly announces its charitable partnership with the Los Angeles Mounted Police Foundation 501(c)(3), the essential support system behind the LAPD Mounted Platoon and the beloved Mini-Mounties Youth Program. As one of the last remaining full-time mounted units in the nation, the platoon stands as a historic symbol of service and the enduring bond between horse and human.
More than just horses in uniform, these equine partners are trusted companions, caretakers of calm, and symbols of connection. Horses like Leo, Blaze, PJ, and Elvis have served the city with strength and grace. Their work doesn’t end at retirement—they often continue healing through equine therapy for veterans, officers, and trauma survivors.
During the devastating Southern California wildfires in January 2025, LAPD Mounted Platoon officers ventured into smoky, chaotic fire zones to help local residents evacuate their horses—leading these animals to safety through blinding ash and extreme heat.
The Mini-Mounties Youth Program began in 2004 with students from Skid Row’s Ninth Street Elementary and has since reached thousands of children from underserved neighborhoods. With a mission to bring joy, mentorship, and connection, the program offers field trips, hospital visits, youth centers and more. The horses, known for their gentle nature, bring comfort and smiles to kids, first responders, and communities across Los Angeles.
This year’s DBA contributions will help fund the wellbeing, training, and care of these exceptional horses and expand the reach of the Mini-Mounties program.
The DBAs will soon announce this year’s honorees. Past recipients include Cindy Crawford, Gabrielle Union, Christie Brinkley, Tommy Chong, and more. Past presenters have included Jennifer Lopez, Jay Leno, Sia and more.
Supporters can participate by purchasing tickets, tables, congratulatory ads, or joining the luxury gift bag experience.
Honorees to be announced shortly.
Unlike traditional beauty awards, the DBAs recognize the science behind beauty, health, and wellness. The show shines a light on professionals across diverse sectors including medicine, aesthetics, skincare, fitness, CBD & cannabis, styling, beauty innovation and more. From honoring AI pioneers and groundbreaking inventors to spotlighting wellness advocates and health trailblazers, the DBAs bridge the gap between glamour and groundbreaking science—redefining how we care for ourselves every day. Together with Senior Executive Producer Pamela Price and Executive + Music Producer Otis Stokes, the DBAs continue to push boundaries, highlighting the minds and methods that shape how we look, feel, and live.
