Keeping a house clean when you have pets and kids might become a challenge from time to time. In between the housekeeper’s visits, most of us need help. I was very familiar with the Swiffer Sweeper—its commercials were running regularly on television—and I decided to give it a try.
My best option seemed to be the Swiffer Sweep + Mop Deluxe Starter Kit, and I have to say—this might be one of the most convenient cleaning tools I’ve ever used. I needed something fast, effective, and easy to store. This completely delivered.
The new deluxe design is a big upgrade from the older Swiffer models. The collapsible handle is brilliant—it folds down to about 25 inches, which means it actually fits inside my small hallway cabinet. Setup is a breeze: just snap it into place, attach a cloth, and you’re good to go.
Dry sweeping is super efficient. The cloths pick up way more dust, hair, and crumbs than my regular broom ever did—especially if you own an animal. You can easily switch to the wet cloths; it turns into a mop that tackles sticky messes like juice spills or muddy paw or shoe prints.
What I love most: it’s easy to store in small spaces, the swivel head gets into corners and under cabinets, and it comes with the starter kit, which includes both dry and wet cloths.
The only downside is that it can get expensive, as you have to keep buying refill cloths. I’d love it if they made a reusable pad option for this model.
Still, for the price (I paid around $20), this is totally worth it. It’s made daily cleaning so much faster and less of a chore.
Highly recommend it for anyone living in a small space or just tired of dragging out a full mop setup every time something spills.
