This Mother’s Day, Say It with Delina

Although Parfums de Marly has been around since 2009, little is known about its origins as a fragrance. The story goes that it all started with the Château de Marly, a private domain where King Louis XV would receive his inner circle. An invitation to Marly represented the rarest and most precious of privileges.

Julien Sprecher the creator of Parfums de Marly was inspired by the history behind the 18th century  Château de Marly. He kept “1743” in its branding on the bottle which represents the famous sculptures of the Chevaux de Marly (horses of Marly) and eventually became the brand’s identity.

Julien grew up in a family of perfumers. Attracted by smells very early on, he knew what he wanted to do. He started his career 25 years ago when the niche perfume industry was just taking off.  It was not long before his addiction to luxurious fine scents drove him to launch Parfums de Marly.

“Perfume is a work of art, passion and by definition, niche,” Sprecher said.

Today, Parfums de Marly offers 42 fragrances which includes the iconic Delina EDP.

In 2023 Advent acquired a majority shareholding in the Group from Julien Sprecher, who remains with the Group as Executive Chairman, Creative Director and as a large minority shareholder. Under Julien Sprecher’s visionary guidance, the Group has established itself as a leader in niche luxury fragrance.

If you have not gotten your Mother’s Day gift, perhaps think of gifting Delina EDP. It infuses timeless elegance into a modern creation.

A charming and firmly modern floral bouquet, Delina is a highly nuanced fragrance that is both sweet and sensual. The eau de parfum relishes in its floral accords which are dominated by the damascena rose, lily of the valley and peony, blended with the rounded tangy notes of lychee, rhubarb, bergamot and nutmeg. Vanilla accentuates the sensuality of the composition at the base, mingling with white musk, cashmeran, cedarwood and incense.
