From the director of The Devil’s Candy and The Loved Ones, Sean Byrne returns with Dangerous Animals, a visceral survival thriller set to premiere at Directors’ Fortnight during the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.
Starring Jai Courtney (The Suicide Squad), Hassie Harrison (Yellowstone), and Josh Heuston (Dune: Prophecy), the film follows Zephyr, a rebellious surfer who is abducted by a shark-obsessed serial killer. Trapped on a boat in open waters, she must outwit a predator far more dangerous than the ocean itself before becoming the next offering in a twisted ritual.

Dangerous Animals will be released exclusively in theaters on June 6, 2025.
