Purina Cares Day Delivers Food, Volunteer Hours to Communities Nationwide

Nestlé Purina PetCare marked its 24th annual Purina Cares Day by donating over 30,000 pounds of food and dedicating more than 5,000 volunteer hours across 34 U.S. cities.

The effort was especially meaningful in St. Louis, where the company is headquartered, as the area was recently impacted by a destructive EF-3 tornado.

More than 2,800 Purina employees participated in projects supporting pet welfare, youth programs, veterans, environmental cleanup, and assistance for the unhoused. In St. Louis, teams distributed pet and human food, hosted field days, built bikes for kids, and assembled kits for homeless veterans and pet owners.

Purina also donated $50,000 toward tornado relief and hosted a community supply drive. These efforts align with the company’s ongoing mission to strengthen communities and support the bond between people and pets.
