Her work has earned her four Emmy nominations, beginning with her role as lead makeup artist for HBO’s Bessie, followed by collaborations with Mary J. Blige on The Wiz Live! and Mahershala Ali on True Detective. She received her fourth Emmy nod for Mare of Easttown.

Debi’s role as Department Head for HBO’s The Wire marked a pivotal moment, propelling her into a series of groundbreaking projects. A defining moment in Debi’s career came with her historic achievement on We Own This City, where she earned the first-ever NAACP Image Award for makeup. Additionally, her work on Shirley with Regina King earned her a second NAACP nomination.
