Fashion Gives Back: VENUS Is Manufacturing Medical Face Masks

With COVID-19 now a global pandemic and a nationwide shortage of personal protective equipment for healthcare workers, VENUS Fashion has shifted its manufacturing efforts to produce critically needed medical face masks.

In partnership with Sports Illustrated, VENUS will be donating the masks to local hospitals in its community of Jacksonville, Florida as well as to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson, New Jersey which has the fourth busiest ER in the nation.

With an in-house manufacturing facility in its Jacksonville, Florida headquarters, VENUS felt compelled to step up to support the selfless healthcare workers who are caring for their communities during this challenging time.

This initiative has only just begun and already the company has made over 1,000 masks in the last few days alone. In the manufacturing facility where the masks are being produced, employees are practicing social distancing and are following company procedures for workspace and physical hygiene.

As COVID-19 is a very real threat, VENUS has taken precautions to prioritize the health, safety and welfare of all its employees.

As of March 17th the company enforced a remote working policy for all employees who are able to perform their job duties remotely and put in place various measures to increase sanitization protocols in office spaces and promote social distancing in workflows.

While the wellbeing of employees’ physical health and safety remains a top priority, the company is also focused on ensure critical infrastructure tasks remain up and running so that it can continue to employ its staff during this uncertain time.
