With week fourteen of the NFL season in the books, it seems like not only are the ratings and attendance dropping, but quarterbacks are dropping like flies with the latest casualty being the NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles Carson Wentz. Wentz tore the ACL in his left knee during the team’s 43-35 win over the Los Angeles Rams and will miss the remainder of the year. Wentz was one of the stories of 2017 and threw four touchdown passes in Los Angeles to up his total to a league-leading 33 before he went down. Now, his injury has massive implications for Philadelphia, the NFC playoff picture, and the MVP discussion. Backup quarterback Nick Foles will replace Wentz at quarterback, but this season-ending injury changes the playoff picture drastically for the now unstable Eagles and their dynamic offense.
