“Take The Money And Run,” and join AXS TV for a lively evening as rock god Steve Miller sits down with Dan Rather in this exclusive first look at an all new episode of "The Big Interview," airing Tuesday, November 14 at 9pE. During the candid conversation, Miller talks about his passion for Blues which was cultivated during his early years in Texas growing up around some of music’s most legendary figures—including his godfather Les Paul — who would often come over to his parents’ home for impromptu jam sessions.
He explains, “Ray Charles Band came from Fort Worth, just about. James Moody was there. All these people were coming over to the house. And even before that, Charles Mingus, and Red Norvo, and Tal Farlow, and Les Paul were at the house on Sunday afternoon for the barbecue and hanging out and playing music.” Every evening was like a private concert with some true industry pioneers, and it had a tremendous impact on his career. Miller continues, “I just was drawn to it and just went from there, you know, to listening to other people… I just saw all that and, at a very early age, went, ‘That's what I wanna do.’”
