On June 28th, Aubrey Plaza, Dave Franco and writer/director Jeff Baena will perform a live reading of stories from Giovanni Boccaccio's The Decameron tied to the June 30th release of their film THE LITTLE HOURS. If you're in New York City, check it out.
A NSFW spin on Boccaccio's bawdy novellas, THE LITTLE HOURS follows a group of medieval nuns whose orderly and monastic lives are uprooted upon the arrival of a mute, deaf and virile young servant with a mysterious backstory. As the repressed nunnery erupts into chaos, a whirlwind of horniness, substance abuse, and wicked revelry ensues. The film features an all-star cast which also includes Alison Brie, Kate Micucci, John C. Reilly, Molly Shannon, Fred Armisen, Jemima Kirke and Nick Offerman.
Say your prayers, gird your loins, and get thee to the Strand Bookstore for this very special reading on Wednesday, June 28th at 7:30pm.
