Tune In: TCM’s ’31 Days Of Oscar’ Kicks Off Wednesday

The Turner Classic Movie (TCM) 31 Days of Oscar special is going alphabetical this year with a month-long special that kicks off Wednesday February 1st. Each movie featured has either been nominated or won an Oscar, starting with John Cromwell's Abe Lincoln In Illinois (1940) and ending with Costa-Gavras' political thriller, Z (1969).

Among the highlights for the 2017 edition includes the TCM debut of Dreamgirls (2006) on Tuesday February 7th. The film adaptation of the Broadway hit stars Eddie Murphy, Jamie Foxx, Beyonce and Best Supporting Actress winner Jennifer Hudson.

  • A Streetcar Named Desire (1951) – Saturday February 25th
  • An American In Paris (1951) – Wednesday February 1st
  • Annie Hall (1977) – Wednesday February 1st
  • Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961) – Saturday February 4th
  • Doctor Zhivago (1965) – Tuesday February 7th
  • Gone With The Wind (1939) – Thursday February 9th
  • Jaws (1975) – Monday February 13th
  • North By Northwest (1959) – Sunday February 19th
  • The Philadelphia Story (1940) – Monday February 20th
