Ellen Albertini Dow… Many know her best for her memorable performance of “Rapper’s Delight” in the 1998 Adam Sandler film, “The Wedding Singer.” The actress passed away at the age of 101 on May 4th, according to her manager, Juliet Green.
Dow was wonderful at portraying the energetic ‘grandma.’ Later in her career, she also appeared in “Wedding Crashers.” TV appearances include, “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” “The Golden Girls,” “Just Shoot Me,” “Will & Grace,” “Seinfeld” and more.
Dow studied acting with Michael Shurtleff and Uta Hagen, and worked with mimes Marcel Marceau and Jacques Lecoq in Paris.
