6 Police Officers Charged In The Death Of Freddie Gray

In a news conference on Friday, Baltimore state attorney, Marilyn J. Mosby spoke on the death of 25 year-old Freddie Gray. Mosby said, “We have probable cause to file criminal charges.”

Last month, Gray died after a spinal cord injury. He was in police custody at the time. The prosecutor announced criminal charges against six police officers in the arrest of Gray.

Mosby continued to state that the officers abused Gray, arresting him without grounds and violating police procedure. The details of the charges are as follows:

The driver of the police van – Charged with several counts, including second-degree depraved-heart murder.

One officer – Charged with several counts, including manslaughter and involuntary manslaughter.

Two officers: Charged with several counts, including involuntary manslaughter.

According to CNN, an additional two officers are charged with several counts, including second-degree assault.
