Julian Lennon’s video tribute to his mother
Julian Lennon’s rep released a statement which said, “Cynthia Lennon passed away today at her home in Mallorca, Spain, following a short but brave battle with cancer. Her son Julian Lennon was at her bedside throughout. The family are thankful for your prayers. Please respect their privacy at this difficult time.”
Julian was the only son of Cynthia Lennon and the Beatles legend, John Lennon. Cynthia passed away at the age of 75 years-old. Our sincere condolences go out to Julian and his family at this time.
It was the early 60’s when John Lennon met Cynthia Powell in college. They married in 1962 and at the time she was pregnant with Julian. Six years later they divorced.
In 2010, Cynthia and Julian unveiled the John Lennon Peace Monument at a ceremony in Chavasse Park, Liverpool. Cynthia lived in Spain with her husband.
