Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk” Sets All-Time Record For Being #1 At Top 40 Radio And Continues To Be #1 On Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart For 9th Week

 

Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk” featuring Bruno Mars sets the record for having the #1 largest Top 40 audience record of all time, and held the #1 spot on the Top 40 airplay chart for 6 consecutive weeks. “Uptown Funk” also continues to hold the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart for its 9th consecutive week. In addition, the single also holds the record for having the #3rd largest radio audience of all time at all radio formats. 

 

The track is from Ronson’s fourth album, “Uptown Special,” which was released on January 13, 2015 via RCA Records. The album was written and produced with fellow Grammy® –winning producer Jeff Bhasker (Kanye West, Drake, Alicia Keys), and the majority of the album’s lyrics were written by Pulitzer-winning American novelist Michael Chabon. “Uptown Special” includes collaborations with Stevie Wonder, Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, Miike Snow’s Andrew WyattMystikal and newcomer Keyone Starr.
