According to Rentrak, the Young Adult (“YA”) audience showed up in droves around the world as Lionsgate’s ‘The Divergent Series: Insurgent‘ grossed $101 million in its first weekend with $47 million coming from 9,500 screens in 76 international markets & $54 million in North America. Notably, the film which stars Shailene Woodley & a solid ensemble cast is the #1 film in 66 of those markets.
