Happy 80th Birthday to the most beautiful woman in the world, Brigitte Bardot, who has dedicated the past 40 years of her life to defending animals. In the mid-1950s, Bardot had her breakthrough with the film “And God Created Woman.” After a long career starring in over 40 films, she devoted most of her time to her passionate role as an animal activist. In 1986 she started the Brigitte Bardot Foundation for the Welfare and Protection of Animals.
Bardot condemned seal hunting in Canada when she visited the country with Paul Watson of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. In 2011 the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society renamed its fast interceptor vessel, MV Gojira, as MV Brigitte Bardot in appreciation of her support.
