The Voice Of “Saturday Night Live,” Don Pardo Passes Away

Television has lost one of their great memorable voices. Don Pardo, best known as the intro voice for Saturday Night Live has passed away at the age of 96 years-old. We will always think of Don when we hear his famous, “Live from New York, It’s Saturday Night Live!”

Pardo served as the announcer of Saturday Night Live from its inception in 1975 until his death.

A member of the Television Hall of Fame, Pardo was noted for his long association with NBC, working as the announcer for early incarnations of such notable shows as The Price Is Right, Jackpot, Jeopardy!, Three on a Match, Winning Streak and NBC Nightly News.
