FX has picked up a fifth season of the Emmy®-nominated comedy series Louie. The seven-episode new season from Creator/Executive Producer/Writer/Star/Director/Editor Louis C.K. will premiere in Spring 2015, it was announced today by John Landgraf, CEO, FX Networks & FX Productions.
“Louie’s fourth season was once again groundbreaking. Sometimes hilarious, sometimes heartbreaking – always thought provoking,” said Landgraf. “The show went to narrative and cinematic places no comedy has gone before and we look forward to seeing what Louis comes up with next.”
Louie is currently nominated for five Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series, Lead Actor Comedy (C.K.), Writing, Directing and Casting for a Comedy Series.
