“Blog Cabin” Is The 1st Interactive Home-Building Series

DIY Network’s Blog Cabin, the first-ever interactive home-building television series, returns for its eighth season beginning tonight, Monday, July 28 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT. Host Chris Grundy, will guide viewers through the completely renovated approximately 2,500-square foot lakefront retreat situated in Winter Haven, Florida, minutes from Orlando’s most popular attractions. From now until September 12th, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. ET, eligible online visitors can enter the sweepstakes twice daily for a chance to win the 2014 Blog Cabin viaDIYNetwork.com/BlogCabin andHGTVRemodels.com/BlogCabin.

“This is truly a unique experience for our fans,” says host Chris Grundy. “I love the fact that our viewers can interact with our experts, weigh-in on the renovation and then enter for a chance to win the home they helped design. And this year, we’re chillin’ lakeside!”

This season’s Blog Cabin features an all-star team of renovation experts that helped transform the former 1920s bungalow into a lakeside retreat, including Jason Cameron of Sledgehammer, Anitra Mecadon ofMega Dens, Matt Muenster of Bath Crashers, Alison Victoria of Kitchen Crashers, Chris Lambton of Yard Crashers, and Jake and Joel Moss ofYardcore. In addition to winning the fully renovated home, the prize package also includes a 2015 MasterCraft NXT20 Wake/Surf Boat and $50,000 provided by national mortgage lender Quicken Loans, for a total package worth nearly $900,000.
