TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel site, today announced the launch of 10 new free Mobile City Guides for iPhone and Android for Brazilian host cities: Salvador, Belo Horizonte, Fortaleza, Brasilia, Curitiba, Porto Alegre, Recife, Cuiaba, Natal and Manaus. These 10 new apps add to the ones already available for Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, ensuring travelers to all 12 host cities in Brazilcan benefit from TripAdvisor City Guides.
TripAdvisor City Guides offer convenient, offline-accessible smartphone access to a wealth of detailed destination information, including traveler reviews on hotels, restaurants and attractions.
“Travelers need easily accessible travel information to guide them around the cities they visit and the TripAdvisor City Guides allow users to access TripAdvisor content on the go, upload photos and reviews, and gain insider tips of each city – all while offline, free of expensive roaming charges,” said Nathan Clapton, vice president of Mobile Partnerships at TripAdvisor. “We are excited to bring 10 new Brazilian cities into our app portfolio, completing availability for all 12 host cities to ultimately help all soccer fans make the most of their trip to Brazil.”
TripAdvisor Mobile City Guides apps are currently available for a total of 92 destinations (including these 10 new cities). The Mobile City Guides are available worldwide in English for free in the Google Play store for Android devices and shortly in the Apple App store, as is the free TripAdvisor app. To date, more than 100 million people have downloaded the various TripAdvisor apps across all platforms.
