The Los Angeles Kings Take Home The Stanley Cup

For the second time in three seasons, the Los Angeles Kings‘ won the Stanley Cup. The Kings scored in double overtime Friday night, beating the New York Rangers 3-2. The Rangers only won one game in the series.

In the third period, the Kings made it a tie at 2-2 with a power-play goal by Marian Gaborik. When the game time was extended, the crowd shouted out, “We want the cup.”

Alec Martinez made the win for the Kings, making a goal past Henrik Lundqvist in double OT.
