Kentucky Derby Fashion Contest Goes Pink

Longines Kentucky Derby

Longines, Swiss watch brand and Official Watch and Timekeeper of the 140th annual Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs, hosted the Longines Kentucky Oaks Fashion Contest on Oaks Day Friday, May 2nd.

Actor and Longines Ambassador of Elegance Simon Baker joined Jennifer Judkins and Juan-Carlos Capelli, both of Longines, to award trainer Steve Asmussen, jockey Rosie Napravnik and owner Ron Winchell with their Longines timepieces after their horse Untapable won the Longines Kentucky Oaks on Kentucky Oaks Day.

The lovely ladies in attendance were invited to showcase their finest Derby style on the “pink carpet” during the Longines Kentucky Oaks Fashion Contest located on the official Kentucky Derby Red Carpet at Churchill Downs. Participants were judged by the celebrity panel, actor and Longines Ambassador of Elegance Simon Baker, fashion television personality Carson Kressley and Southern Living style editor Stephanie Granada in attendance. The judges have the difficult task of selecting the lady who best represents the elegant style of the Kentucky Derby. The winner was presented with a Longines timepiece from the Conquest Classic collection.
