It’s one thing to receive a box of chocolates, and an entirely other world of delight to take your Valentine on a “Chocolate Walking Tour.” My mouth is watering just typing about it. If you’re looking for a unique gift for the 14th of February, look into the Beverly Hills Chocolate Walking Tour, which is just as good as it sounds: touring around Beverly Hills and stopping at different shops to sample some of the world’s finest chocolate.
Guests enjoy tastes from historic Beverly Hills shops including: family owned stores, such as Teuscher and Edelweiss, Vosges Haut Chocolate (named one of the “Ten Best Chocolatiers in the World” by National Geographic magazine), and even a stop at The Cheese Store to sample their artisan chocolates that are described as “to die for delicious.” Tours take place all year round, but Valentine’s Day is, of course, a popular time.
If that isn’t enough to convince the chocolate lovers out there, here’s a hint at some chocolate delights on the tour…
Sugarfina (silver plated rings)
An interlocking dark chocolate ring brushed with edible silver from Greece.
Vosges (Paprika Chocolate truffle)
A sweet Hungarian paprika + dark chocolate truffle that finds it’s influences in from Eastern Europe. The perfect complement to a spicy Cuban cigar.
Coupa cafe (spicy Mayan hot chocolate), which is a warm cinnamon embrace, velvety chocolate, and an infusion of cayenne and pasilla chile with just enough heat to melt your heart. Spicy Maya is the perfect mix of sweet and seductive- in a cup!
Tours begin at 2:30pm every Thursday and Saturday for 2 1/2 hours. Guests stop and go along 1 1/2 miles. There is wheel chair access. The February special is: 2 tours for $80.00 or $40.00 per person.
