Goodbye To “The Partridge Family” Actor Dave Madden

Dave Madden died at the age of 82 in Florida due to “congestive heart and kidney failure,” according to his former agent. Madden was best known for his portrayal of Reuben Kincaid on the 1970’s hit TV show, “The Partridge Family,” starring David Cassidy.

Madden’s character was the band manager of the family of musicians, who traveled around in an old school bus.

“I’m saddened by the loss of such a sweet man,” Cassidy told Yahoo in a statement from his rep. “He was supportive and kind on the set and off and he will be missed by many.”

The Canadian born actor also made guest appearances on other TV series such as Bewitched, Happy Days, The Love Boat and Fantasy Island. He had a recurring role on Alice as one of the customers of Mel’s Diner and Tommy’s basketball coach Earl Hicks. His last guest appearance was on Sabrina, the Teenage Witch where he played Dr. Egglehoffer.
