Here at LATF, we like to call ourselves the ultimate ‘multi-taskers.’ Therefore our office needs computers, printers and tablets that fit our fast pace environment. We recently discovered Epson’s WorkForce WF-3540. If you have a family member or friend whose printer is on the fritz or needs something to make their office life a lot easier…. this All-In-One printer is a gift dream come true.
It does everything from copying to scanning and automatic 2-sided printing. Naturally, it’s always better to learn about a new printer if you’re somewhat tech savvy. Luckily, the WorkForce printer is easy to learn. To connect to your PC or laptop, the WF includes wired and wireless connectivity for fast and simple networking. Getting set-up is fairly worry-free. The only downside to this printer is the multiple ink cartridges. While most printers require 1 color and 1 black ink cartridge, the WF needs 4 total with black, magenta, blue and yellow. That makes this more costly, but you also have to think about the money you’re saving in the long run by combining your copier, printer and scanner in one machine.
Back to the technical side of the WF, the quality of scanning images and documents is top notch. The printer comes with a 500-sheet paper capacity, so you’ll reload paper less often. Versatile paper handling features include a 30-sheet duplex ADF, plus a rear paper feed to handle specialty paper including envelopes, labels and card stock. As for screen functions, you can use the 3.5″ touchscreen with gesture navigation to easily navigate through PC-free tasks.
In this day and age, everything must go mobile! The WF provides the possibility of mobile printing. You can print wirelessly from your iPad®, iPhone®, tablet, smartphone or computer through AirPrint and GoogleCloud print.
We have worked with Epson printers in the past and have yet to be disappointed. For the holiday season, the WorkForce WF-3540 is the perfect gift to make anyone’s office life easier. And did we mention… it’s affordable with pricing starting at $199.99?
