He just couldn’t handle it. Not surprisingly, San Diego Mayor Bob Filner ended his “intensive” therapy (let’s call it sex therapy, because that’s what it is) early. Apparently, Filner will continue counseling on an outpatient bases. His law firm, Payne & Fears LLP stated that he will take off next week and not be available to comment.
After being accused of unwanted sexual advances towards several women, Filner was asked to resign eight months into a four-year term. Clearly, we have a stubborn politician on our hands. He won’t complete the two-week therapy intensive he promised the public he would do and he won’t listen to the nine members of the City Council who have asked him to leave office immediately. Filner, face it – you’re not wanted.
